Fine and rare late 17th century English chest of drawers entirely veneered in kingwood, the parquetry top over cushion molded drawers having tear drop pulls, the carcass made in two sections having molded seam and standing on original bun feet, the whole possessing good rich color and patination.
Note: Most chests of this time period in England were typically made of oak or walnut in finer pieces. The use of exotic timber shows the rising influence of the newly formed.
