Description
A pair of portraits of husband and wife Peter and Jane Sharland painted in pastel on paper in a charmingly naive style. The portraits have aqua blue backgrounds and are set under glass in deep molded gilt frames. An interesting hand-written note documenting the Sharland family tree is affixed to the reverse of one of the painitngs. English, circa 1829.
