Miniature Royal Horse Guards Helmet

Rare and fine quality miniature Royal Horse Guards officer’s full dress helmet having red horsehair plume, silver plated body with gilt brass fittings, original leather linings and in overall excellent condition.  The Royal Horse Guards (The Blues and Royals) have a long and distinguished history with origins in the mid 17th century and are one of the most familiar branches of the royal armed services to this day.  This helmet dates to the mid 20th century and is of the pattern first adopted under Queen Victoria’s reign (the Albert pattern).
