Fine mahogany tripod table, the top in highly figured mahogany over simple balustrade turned shaft and standing on shaped legs ending in human feet, the whole with good rich color and patina. So called "Manx" tables, tables of this form were made on the Isle of Man in the 18th and early 19th centuries. The three human form legs (sometimes wearing shoes, as in this example and sometimes bare) represent the Triskelion, the symbol for the Island. Top and base associated.
