Description
A sophisticated pitcher made of a continuous piece of patinated leather hide (with a stitched bottom piece) fastened with a thick stitched leather handle and bearing in this piece a substantial hallmarked silver rim. Wonderful organic shape, and a traditional vernacular form also known as a black-jack or bombard. This one dates from the early 20th century. Not recommended for drinking.
