Description
A leather jewelry box of deep rectangular shape with a hinged lid, an iron escutcheon lockplate and swivel hook latches to front, and an iron bail handle to the top, the whole covered in gilt hand-tooling including border patterns surrounding inner outlines around double sunflowers. Leather worn in places but in generally good condition considering the age of this piece. Italy, circa 1720.
