Description
Very fine George II period center table, circa 1745, the single plank vividly grained Cuban mahogany top having molded edge and re-entrant or “baby’s bum” corners, over molded apron, standing on shaped cabriole legs having shell and bell flower carved knees, over ball and claw feet.
Note: Center tables from this era are rare. Far more common are side/serving tables which would be finished on three sides. This table can free stand and all sides are finished equally.
