Fine French early 19th century walnut neoclassical console or pier table, the top with wooden gallery edge with ebonized molded edge over two drawers retaining lion mask pulls, the legs of term form with bronze caryatids, having ebonized tapering form and ending in bronze feet, standing on platform base with mirrored back, the whole will pleasing nutty color and patination. Provincial Empire period furniture is scarce and pier tables especially so. This example is notable for its architectural form and great scale.
