Description
Unusual Swedish 19th Century turned burl birch “dummy” keg, having turned rings imitating willow bands, bone inlaid roundel and stopper and brass carrying rings, the whole turned from a single block of burl birch with spalted grain, the purpose of which is a complete mystery. A lovely object with great patina and personality.
