Description
An oak chair with wonderfully patinated bulldog head carvings on the ears of the top rail. Dogs with studded collars and iron leashes. On a high shaped back with a pierced backsplat, over a flat seat with scalloped edges, and standing on stylized cabriole front legs ending in, appropriately, dog paw feet. This is a true conversation chair! England, circa 1880.
