Description
A campaign day bed of three moveable caned panels joined with brass hinges on a frame standing on boldly turned legs with brass cup castors. Folds flat or can be adjusted to raise head and/or knees. Packs compactly with detachable legs for traveling, thus distinguishing it as “campaign” furniture, for use on safaris, by military officers or in other travels. Supplied with a bespoke cushion. Retains label for Leveson & Sons, London. Circa 1880.
