A pair of Provencal faience wine pitchers in the form of a seated husband and his wife in 18th century clothes, she wearing a bonnet tied under her chin and holding a basket with a yellow shawl around her legs, and he with a tricorn and holding a cup in one hand and a wine bag in the other, with moulded handles to the back and pitcher spouts formed from the corners of the hats. Hand painted in vibrant pastels. Circa 1900.
