Description
A very fine George II mahogany tea table with an especially large top in a single board of wonderfully figured timber with a pie-crust edge, on tilt mechanism above a tripod base with a spiral carved and tapered column with ring turning to capital and base, on three elegant shaped feet with crisply carved anthemion knees and spade toes on original thin floor blocks. Very nice patina. In the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Circa 1750.
