A very fine English marble top console table in the manner of William Kent, having features found in documented examples of Kent's work at Chiswick House and Holkham Hall.  Reeded and acanthus carved apron over bold carved eagle head scrolled legs with feather and fishscale surfacing distinctive to other Kent works, topped with a substantial later riverstone marble top.  Beautifully carved in pine with only small traces of original gesso and gilding remaining on surface.  Reduced and lacking elements.
