Fine George III Pembroke table in the manner of Thomas Chippendale having a shaped top with molded edge over two drawers, each with "S" bitten keyholes, supported on cluster column legs joined by chamfer molded "X" stretchers and standing on Marlborough feet. England, circa 1760-1770. Note: This table has many similarities to some of the known output of Thomas Chippendale's workshop, most notably the high quality figured mahogany, the molded edge and the locks with "S" shaped keys. The hardware is also identical to many pieces supplied by Chippendale. Size listed is closed. With leaves open the top is 36" x 29".
Good antique condition, minor patching to cockbeading and veneer below drawer on one side
