Striking 17th century English oak wainscot chair having a scrolled crest with foliage and fruit carving over a paneled back with honeysuckle vine carving and initialed "I.S." and "H.O." and dated "68", the two side rails with applied ears under the crest, the downward shaped arms on bobbin turned supports, the plank seat over bobbin turned legs joined by box stretchers, the whole possessing good rich color and patina, the back with collection accession number
